Microsoft Corporation Commercial Executive in Zürich, Switzerland

The Commercial Executive (CE) is a Sales professional responsible to close companywide agreements for Microsoft’s Enterprise Customers. The CE is an experienced deal maker who is able to understand the customer's strategy, build commercial constructs across different solution areas and act as a lead negotiator to land the deal with the customer. This role has significant business impact through direct involvement in customer/partner projects and solving complex business problems while partnering with various stakeholders in delivering the right commercial solutions at the right time and ensuring compliant and sustainable agreements for Microsoft and our customers.

This role demands a robust business acumen, an understanding of the business operations, and the foresight to anticipate future industry trends and challenges. A keen sense of business analysis is crucial, enabling one to discern business requirements and craft effective solutions. Responsibilities

  • Leads the designing of deals that enable the company to accelerate the business and acting as a trusted advisor to determine how commercial deals should be designed to best meet customer needs. Leverage a deep understanding of customer strategies and constructing commercial agreements across different solution areas.

  • Define, negotiate complex commercial terms and lead the strategy for the negotiation approach by engaging with stakeholders externally and internally. Act as the lead negotiator to secure successful deals with customers.

  • Provides strategic direction to business stakeholders in order to achieve revenue targets.

  • Leverages expertise of customer business needs and desired outcomes to achieve revenue goals using ethical selling methods. Proactively identifies and evaluates business opportunities which vary based on deal lifecycle and artificial intelligence.

  • Leads sales and management teams through sales process optimizing for the right level of investment and customization. Lead and handle deal escalation strategies and tactics as necessary.

  • Drives adherence to commercial solutions policy for commercial deal execution, inclusive of regulatory laws and principles in local markets, company policies, and guidance for consistent and compliant deal making

  • Leverages knowledge of best practices and strategies to accomplish goals.

  • Collaborates with customer/partner support/account teams to ensure value is delivered during lifecycle management planning and ensure that all teams are aligned on customer/partner priorities, strategies, and budget to better structure deals that drive annuity and cloud growth.

Qualifications

Required/Minimum Qualifications

  • Customer facing sales and negotiation experience OR Bachelor's or Master's degree in business management, Information Technology, Law, Marketing (or equivalent) or related field AND significant number of years sales and negotiation experience or related work OR equivalent experience.

Preferred/additional:

  • A good understanding of Microsoft's Volume Licensing Programs and Solution Areas

  • Strong communicator and relationship builder who understands the value of cross functional collaboration, and knows how to orchestrate a strong team including both technical and business stakeholders

  • Able to explain and simplify complex solutions

  • Ability to explain and lead our customers through the Microsoft Contract stack, including Data Privacy and Regulatory Compliance Topics.

  • Fluency in German AND English are required .
