Channel Development Director

Responsible for delivering channel development playbooks for Pharmacy and Mass channels and shopper marketing toolkits while working closely with franchise.

o Works on delivering Pharmacy Channel and Mass channel Playbooks covering: (Pharmacy Focus) o Channel Path to purchase o Channel Layouts and Classifications o Channel Touchpoints and POSM Optimization o Brand Prioritization by Channel o MSL alignment with RGM by channel o Channel GP and portfolio laddering per channel o Perfect Store guidelines by channel o Delivering Shopper Toolkits & instore toolkits on specific launches as part of the launch kit to relevant portfolios in Mass or Pharmacy channels. o Work closely with BTL agencies to develop launch kits, support the launch of NPI’s etc o Deliver & develop Perfect Store guidelines for the respective category, from ranging recommendation, driving the right high GP mix of codes, planograming & merchandising guidelines o Working closely with country directors & business insights team to monitor distribution & define distribution targets for existent ranges and NPI’s o Building a team that will be active members of the franchise team to drive cross-functional collaboration and drive the instore agenda o Sustainability Toolkits by channel and relevant categories that operates within

In terms of other forums that the channel development director is responsible to drive: Channel Review : o Building a channel community for sharing best practices and scales success o Tracking the execution of the playbook and leverage and highlight markets leading change o Building shopper insights with key customers in respective channels in EMEA o Leverage the shopper Lab insights and share with markets

Instore Innovation and Best Practice Forum o Creating a process of having a launch kit with every innovation way ahead of the launch in markets and sharing the pipe of those toolkits with countries o Building trade stories that allow the countries to have a better customer plan by explaining how this will impact category growth

Main interfaces/collaboration: CD department / Country Directors/ BAM’s / Distributors / Franchise team / IT & Supply chain department / external providers

Reporting staff: Pharmacy shopper channel manager & Mass shopper channel manager

Main performance measures:

o Strong influencing skills o A self-starter with the demonstrated ability to take initiative, who can proactively identify issues/opportunities and recommend actions o Very strong shopper and channel expertise. Sales and marketing background is aplus


Level of Education University degree in Business administration or respective studies- To understand the full scope of the business & its impacts. Work experience Experience from a multi-national or regional company in preferably FMCG, finance or complimentary sector- To understand the customer needs & issues and to set the right drivers in place. Specific competence requirements (professional requirements) Skilled in Word, Excel and Power Point-Provide presentation & reporting on category & shopper initiatives. Personal characteristics (Key Competences) Strong Strategic thinking- Provide category analysis with conclusions & action steps. Team player & demonstrate leadership-Work in a collaborative way with both internal & external Customer teams Strong written and oral communication skills and presentation skills- Presentation within diverse forums. Well-structured, focused & setting clear priorities- Implementation of priority category & shopper activities. Language skills Fluent in English EMEA languages MENAP interfaces
