Job Description
Develops data/digital strategy for VELYS ecosystem in the EMEA region, in alignment with company goals and market opportunities. Educates stakeholder (regional/country/functions) on the strategy and ensure market success contributing to overall profitable growth of the VELYS ecosystem.
Advises on best practices to ideate, identify, and build iterations of new high-value products, features, methods, or processes that will enable our digital products to be effectively developed and commercialized in line with overall ecosystem data strategy.
Develop and prioritize regional product roadmap & influence global product roadmap; based on customer insights, competitive analysis, and business needs.
Facilitates project management and ensures support/buy in /alignment with Global partners. for timely and efficient execution of projects. Establishing internal and external partnership and competences to advance fast in the field and contribute to company growth.
Integrates Johnson & Johnson’s Credo and Leadership Imperatives into team goals and decision making.
Responsibilities:
The Digital Lead for VELYS EMEA will be responsible for digital products, capabilities and software adding to VELYS ecosystem within the orthopedic business of Johnson and Johnson.
This role has end to end responsibility at a regional level including:
Aligned to global vision, strategy and road map, craft EMEA regional product vision (short- and long-term) and convert it to concrete strategy defining digital/data road map.
Lead the Cross Functional Team within EMEA to pilot, test and scale connectivity/ data solutions that will ultimately lead to realize the digital/data road map and our layers of connectivity for the VELYS platform.
Ensures support/buy in /alignment with Global partners for timely and efficient execution of projects.
Communicate product strategy, progress, and updates to stakeholders, including senior management.
Ensuring input across digital product lifecycle from internal stakeholders such as technology, ISRM, privacy, regulatory, product & business requirements to ensure timely & successful regional implementation and commercialization.
Conduct user research (voice of customer) and usability studies, collaborating with designers, developers, and global teams throughout the process
Participate in market research, validation, and white space analysis to identify opportunities for new or existing features and functionalities
Advises on best practices to ideate, identify, and build first iterations of new high-value products, features, methods, or processes.
Develop and implement pipelines that extract, transform, and load data into an information product
Input in requirements discovery, solution design, user story writing, feature development, and user acceptance testing
Define and implement the commercialization strategy for VELYS digital products across the region which support profitable growth for our products
Partner with key stakeholders across the markets to identify key capabilities needed as well as potential issues
Partner regularly with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment on feature development and prioritization
Implement best practices of the Digital World for shaping the future of digital orthopaedics
Oversee the development of the positioning and messaging and ensure differentiation from competitors
Monitor and evaluate product performance to facilitate continuous iteration and improvement
Stay informed on industry trends, emerging technologies.
Guides junior colleagues through consultation and mentoring in techniques and processes and provides functional (matrix) supervision.
Qualifications
Master’s degree business, computer science, information systems, or related field preferred (Marketing, MBA, Digital) – preferred
Minimum five years of experience in digital product management or similar role
Minimum of 5 years of experience in the healthcare sector
Previous experience in Orthopedic sector is preferred
Experience working in international matrix organization
Experience in connected platforms / digital health programs
Strong analytical, prioritization, and negotiating skills
Experience in usability and customer-focused design
Passion for building great digital products to solve customer and business problems

Technical Credibility – Demonstrates some depth of knowledge in Technology, Digital R&D, Privacy and Information Security Management. Ability to leverage this knowledge to solve problems, communicate & lead teams to an aligned position & efficient execution.
Privacy & and Information Security Risk Management (ISRM) – has some understanding of GDPR and will need to partner with key stakeholders such as privacy, Technology & R&D to ensure organization understands and complies with the regulations for data security.
Strategic thinking – Translate data, business knowledge and goals into actionable insights strategies and business plans.
Relationships & cross functional collaboration - Creates relationships with both immediate team and across organization. Motivates, leads and collaborates cross functionally to reach a common goal/responsibility/project.
Business evaluation – Ability to implement KPI’s and conduct a systemized procedural analysis of KPI’s that can illustrate the business current reality, success, opportunities and gaps. Assess the benefits, risk factors and possible success of identified opportunities.
