Job Description
Design, develop, troubleshoot and debug software programs for databases, applications, tools, networks etc.As a member of the software engineering division, you will assist in defining and developing software for tasks associated with the developing, debugging or designing of software applications or operating systems. Provide technical leadership to other software developers. Specify, design and implement modest changes to existing software architecture to meet changing needs.Duties and tasks are varied and complex needing independent judgment. Fully competent in own area of expertise. May have project lead role and or supervise lower level personnel. BS or MS degree or equivalent experience relevant to functional area. 4 years of software engineering or related experience.

Responsibilities
This role requires deep technical expertise, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to hit the ground running.
You will be responsible for solving algorithmically complex problems, working on front and backend services that can handle massive workloads in a distributed multi-tenant architecture, utilizing serverless computing, auto-scaling, microservices architecture on Kubernetes, ML/AI based predictive algorithms.
Our projects spans across multiple OCI (Oracle Cloud Infrastructure) services like - compute, network, storage, OCI logging service, OCI events service, Kubernetes etc. and you will work closely and learn from a large engineering community with direct interaction with project leadership and customers.
As an early engineer, you will get 360 degree experience in all aspects of the service lifecycle. As innovators who embrace new technology, you will be empowered to choose the right highly scalable and available technology to solve complex problems and will directly influence product design.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
2+ years of experience with software development in one or more programming languages (e.g., Python, C, C++, Java, JavaScript)
2+ years of experience with data structures or algorithms
4+ years of professional software development experience
Prior experience in working on public cloud (Oracle Cloud, AWS, GPC, Azure)
Bachelor’s degree in computer science (or related field) or equivalent industry experience
Requires strong communication and writing skills
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Software development experience in one or more programming languages
Knowledge in Linux and its administration with scripting capability to automate repetitive tasks. Linux kernel experience is a plus
Practical experience writing large-scale web applications including architectural decisions, language choices, frameworks, and implementation.
Experience with REST/RPC API design and development
Experience with Docker/Podman containerization and Kubernetes
Experience with event-driven systems like Kafka
