Oracle Principal Data Scientist in ZAPOPAN, Mexico

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

· NetSuite Development & Integration

  • Design, program, and develop software on the NetSuite platform, including custom structures, scripts, searches, and reports.

  • Troubleshoot and resolve development issues, delivering final solutions according to project timelines.

  • Participate in the design and implementation of NetSuite integrations to support business intelligence, reporting, and analytics workflows.

  • Perform peer reviews and collaborate with team members to ensure quality and consistency across developed products.

  • Data Science & Analytics

  • Develop and analyze data to generate insights that drive business performance and identify areas for improvement in efficiency and productivity.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders and global team members to understand data requirements, ensure data quality, and pull necessary information from various systems.

  • Build and maintain data models, visualizations, and dashboards that support the decision-making process and process improvement initiatives.

  • Build and support machine learning to achieve high quality generative AI user experiences.

· Collaboration & Innovation

  • Work closely with business process owners, IT teams, and other stakeholders to translate business needs into technical solutions.

  • Spearhead innovation by experimenting with and implementing new data science technologies and methodologies.

  • Train team members on data analytics techniques and document procedures to ensure scalability and repeatability.

Responsibilities

Preferred Qualifications

· Technical Skills

o Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Data Analytics, Engineering, Artificial Intelligence, or a related field.

o 4+ years of experience in software development or technical implementation, preferably on the NetSuite platform.

  • Strong understanding of programming languages such as Java, JavaScript, and NetSuite SuiteScript.

  • Familiarity with data science tools and techniques (e.g., machine learning, AI, statistical analysis, data visualization).

  • Experience with metadata-driven architecture and role-based access control is a plus.

  • Data Science Expertise

o 4+ years of data analytics that includes supporting business process and/or operational audits.

o Experience with data cleaning, preparation, and visualization for business insights and process improvements.

o Hands-on experience with machine learning models and data pipelines for real-time analytics and automation.

  • Experience in business process and/or operational audits supported by data analytics.

  • Proven ability to evaluate business processes, identify risks, and create technical solutions that meet business needs.

  • Experience in integrating data science models with enterprise systems like NetSuite.

· Collaboration & Communication

o Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with experience working across global, cross-functional teams.

  • Strong presentation and communication skills (verbal and written) in English are critical. Comfortable with gathering data requirements from all levels of the business and different business lines.

  • Ability to make decisions independently and drive technical direction based on business requirements.

o Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects in different time zones.
