HID’s Physical Access Control Solutions Department:
HID PAC’s Business Unit focuses on the growth of new clients and existing clients where we leverage the latest card and reader technologies to solve the security challenges of our clients. Other areas of focus will include authentication, card sub systems, card encoding, Biometrics, location services and all other aspects of a physical access control infrastructure
As our Senior Software Engineer , you’ll support HID’s success by:
Design, implementation and maintenance of software for Windows/Unix/Cross-platform
Activity participate in software architecture designing
Designing software modules, implementing and integrating them with other components of the system, while interfacing with other teams in the organization, and ensuring integration and effective delivery of products
Follow best practices for design, development and testing
Review software architecture document & software specifications
What we will love about your background:
Ability to effectively communicate in the English language, both verbally and in writing
Ability to read and interpret technical journals, specifications, international technical standards, etc.
Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript and asynchronous programming (NodeJS)
Familiarity with CI tools – Jenkins/Groovy
Knowledge of unix systems and docker
Knowledge of Smart Card
Your Experience and Education include:
Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent and at least 3 years (6 years for senior) of good quality, hands on development
Proficiency in C# programming language / .NET platform
Proven experience with microservices architecture
Knowledge of design patterns and SOLID principles, test automation, TDD/BDD, REST
Knowledge of Agile development methodologies (SCRUM)
Version control systems e.g. Git, Mercurial
Proficient in MS Office applications, such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
Familiar with operating systems, such as Windows, etc.
