This role involves developing, overseeing, and improving processes for plant maintenance and cleaning. It includes inspecting and evaluating repairs to property or equipment to determine the type of work required and understanding waste and water disposal procedures. The position requires adherence to safety principles when using chemical cleaners, tools, and power equipment to prevent damage. As an advanced-level position, it demands advanced troubleshooting skills and the ability to inspect, repair, and maintain electrical, plumbing, roofing, compressed air systems, lighting, and HVAC systems.

Summary:

Responsible for improving the productivity of the organization's employees through planning, implementation and management of employee training and development programs. This position assesses company-wide developmental needs to drive training initiatives and identifies and arranges suitable employee training solutions. This position actively searches, creatively designs and implements effective methods to educate, enhance performance and recognize performance. Fosters a culture of continuous learning and development with the organization.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Maintain the cleanliness and orderliness of the property.

  2. Inspect and evaluate repairs to property or equipment to determine the type of work required.

  3. Identify and communicate the need for repairs to management or consultants.

  4. Requisition supplies and equipment for repairs, replacements, cleaning, and maintenance duties.

  5. Understand waste and water disposal procedures and follow safety principles for the use of chemical cleaners, tools, and power equipment to prevent damage.

  6. Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

· Education: bachelor's degree required.

· Experience: Previous work experience in a manufacturing or facilities setting is preferred.

Skills:

· Ability to interpret written and oral instructions.

· Teamwork skills to resolve work issues effectively.

· Basic shop math knowledge.

· Forklift certification is preferred but not required.

· Effective communication skills in English.
