Summary:
Performing manufacturing operations on metal or plastic materials, ensuring that machines are set up correctly to produce parts that meet quality standards per provided specifications, and ensuring customer delivery commitments are met.
Responsibilities:
Operate equipment, perform start-up procedures, daily maintenance, and operations.
Ensure parts produced comply with quality requirements by verifying conformance with quality plans using visual inspection techniques, microscopes, micrometers, automated measuring instruments, pin gages, drop gages, and concentricity gages.
Support machine conversion processes per the required production schedule.
Collaborate with the Manufacturing & Quality Engineering (MQE) team to ensure machine programs meet quality and performance objectives.
Communicate or execute equipment adjustments to correct any deviations in parts produced.
Understand the fundamentals of the quality management system, read and interpret drawings, and understand defect types, sorting, and lot control procedures.
Perform work according to traveler and work instructions.
Conduct technical end-of-shift duties, end-of-job, and housekeeping procedures.
Adhere to safety policies including personal protective equipment requirements and hazardous/emergency procedures.
Demonstrate a strong commitment to punctuality and reliability.
