Position Overview:
The University of Michigan Campus is currently seeking enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to join our dynamic food service team. We have openings for Food Service Workers and Dishwashers on all shifts, providing an excellent opportunity to contribute to the campus community and gain valuable experience in the food service industry.
Key Responsibilities:
Food Service Workers:
- Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of food items according to established recipes and guidelines.
- Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service to students, faculty, and staff in a fast-paced cafeteria setting.
- Cash Handling: Process transactions accurately and handle cash registers.
Dishwashers:
- Dishwashing: Operate dishwashing equipment to ensure the cleanliness and sanitation of dishes, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
- Organization: Keep dishwashing and kitchen areas organized and free of clutter.
- Support Team: Assist kitchen staff with various tasks to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
Qualifications:
- Previous experience in food service, cafeteria, or restaurant setting preferred.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including mornings, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
