Title: Assistant Professor (Health Administration) Employee Classification: FA - Faculty 16 and 24 (Pay) Pay Grade: Division: Academic and Student Affairs Department: College of Health and Human Serv Campus Location: Main Campus General Summary The School of Health Sciences, College of Health and Human Services is inviting applications for a tenure track Assistant Professor position for the Program in Health Administration, beginning Fall 2024. The Program offers Bachelor's and Master's degrees, Graduate Certificates in Health Administration, Healthcare Informatics and Long-Term Care Administration and an Undergraduate Certificate in Health Informatics. Eastern Michigan University is located in the Ypsilanti-Ann Arbor area affording rich cultural and social opportunities. The health administration program has a highly diverse student body. Principal Duties and Responsibilities Primary responsibilities for this tenure track position include teaching graduate and undergraduate courses in health administration, providing professional and community service, and conducting independent scholarly work. Candidates should speak to their ability to teach in one or more of the following content areas: healthcare finance, health services management and leadership. Perform related Departmental duties as required. Minimum Qualifications: The position requires an earned doctorate from an accredited university in health administration, business administration, or a closely related field. Doctoral candidates nearing degree completion will be considered, but candidates must complete their degrees by August 31, 2024. Preferred Qualifications: Professional experience in healthcare services management or administration is preferred. Two or more years teaching experience in higher education is preferred.
