IBM Corporation Research Software Engineer in Yorktown Heights, New York
Research Software Engineer, IBM Corporation, Yorktown Heights, NY: Design, build, optimize and evaluate novel machine learning models for Natural Language Processing (NLP) tasks. Create distributed learning and inference algorithms. Develop and use active learning, information retrieval, and crowdsourcing techniques to collect model training data. Build and manage data acquisition, preparation, and processing pipelines, especially for large amount of data required for training Large Language Models (LLMs). Incorporate input from subject matter experts and clients to identify and frame research problems of strategic interest to company. Use research methods grounded in state-of-the art research technologies to analyze core technical challenges, develop research solutions, and recommend new and/or improved offerings. Utilize: Java, Python, Natural Learning Processing (NLP) algorithms, Deep Learning models and Machine Learning. Required: Master’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or related (employer will accept a Bachelor's degree plus five (5) years of progressive experience in lieu of a Master’s degree) and one (1) year of experience as a Software Engineer or related. One (1) year of experience must include utilizing Java, Python, NLP algorithms, Deep Learning models and Machine Learning. $183,990.36 to $194,400.00 per year.
