Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania Summer Camp Counselors, York area in York, Pennsylvania
Easterseals Western and Central Pennsylvania is a organization serving people with disabilities. We are celebrating over 100 years! We are looking to hire several dynamic summer Camp Counselors to join our team. The counselors will work work with adult campers with disabilities/and or children of parents in military service. The first camp will be in early June. Counselors will be paid a stipend depending on the length of the camp. This is in addition to free room and board.
JOB SUMMARY
Camp counselors are responsible for the day-to-day tasks that directly involve campers. In addition to adult camps for those with disabilities, we also run camps for children of military services men/women, ages 5-17.
REQUIREMENTS
- Minimum age of 16 to staff children's camp
- Minimum age of 18 to staff adult camps
- PA Criminal Record Check
- Child Abuse History Clearance
- FBI Clearance
- Passing of physical examination and TB test
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise campers to ensure participant safety.
- Motivate campers to participate in camp activities.
- Identify individual goals and ensure campers are meeting their desired outcomes.
- Implement and lead campers in age-appropriate activities.
- Be willing and able to participate in all camp activities.
