Full-Time Day/Evening Mon-Thu 12:30-8:00p & Fri 8:00a-4:30p Job Description:
Under the general supervision of the department supervisor and the direction of the Radiologist, performs routine screening and diagnostic mammography procedures.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Performs mammography; obtains patient history; explains routine procedures and addresses patient concerns.
Under the direction of a Team Leader, is responsible for assisting in the training of other technologists, certifying that techs meet competencies.
Positions patients safely and comfortably and explains basic procedure.
Prepares and maintains written documentation as required by the profession and the department.
Schedules cases to coordinate with other patient examinations.
Prepares, maintains and scans appropriate documentation required by the department.
3 - 5 years
ARRT with mammography certification; Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
Accredited program in radiologic technology and training in mammography procedures
Prolonged, extensive, or considerable standing/walking
Lifts, positions, pushes and/or transfers patients
