Summary The Human Resources Director will act as a strategic consultant who is responsible for aligning business objectives across all organizational layers and building a high performing, sustainable workforce.  This position oversees performance management, employee development (technical, leadership, & soft skills) workforce planning, succession planning, retention, HSE, benefits and employee relations. This individual will provide guidance on employee engagement strategies as well as evaluating, planning, and implementing policies and changes that continue to create a competitive advantage for ISI. The incumbent must be very organized, able to proficiently communicate verbally, written, and through other various communication strategies, and be capable of completing complex projects within agreed upon timelines. Success Criteria & Measurement Creates and implements retention strategies that retain key employees within the organization Translates business data into concise management tools and/or dashboards to drive decisions with leadership Creates and implements a communication strategy to distribute key information across all organizational levels Identifies and supports workforce upskilling actions to increase employee value and retention Identifies and implements employee engagement plans to increase satisfaction within the organization. Will lead execution of company engagement activities such as holiday parties, etc. Advises, coordinates, and executes performance management directly with employees and leadership. Mediates workplaces disagreements, conflicts, and/or concerns to a solution. Oversees organizational workforce equity and competitiveness through various compensation and benefit strategies. Oversee and implement employee training plans that maintain work eligibility in accordance with federal, state, local, and customer requirements. Assisting in the design, planning, and development of ISI's benefits programs, ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local regulations along with the accuracy and efficiency of employee benefit data, enrollment, and financial transactions. Creates and implements a Hazard Communication Standard (HAZCOM), risk assessment plan, emergency response plan, and other actions to identify and mitigate safety risks for employees.  This would also include the management program to identify any gaps that exist in the execution of the program through various audits, interviews, etc. Manages hazardous waste storage, transport, and disposal along with all required documentation Maintains safety compliance with all federal, state, local, and customer requirements Provides advisement and/or represent ISI for employee workplace injury, work restrictions, medical professional contact, etc. Responsibilities HR Demonstrates in-depth understanding of business operations and its inherent challenges (such as talent recruitment and retention, competitive total compensation practices, employee engagement, etc.) Recommends and implements initiatives to achieve business strategy and financial targets Establishes strong partnerships with line managers, employees, and senior leaders that improve inter-departmental effectiveness, builds organizational morale and satisfaction, and increases productivity and retention Creates strong relationships by achieving high credibility with line managers and senior leaders to coach and equip them with appropriate tools and knowledge to manage their teams Works with the Compensation and Benefits team to ensure ISI develops compensation strategies that attract and retain talent, while maintaining internal equity and consistency of company compensation practices Champions organizational changes and positively influences corporate culture initiatives Provides oversight, guidance, an input on workforce planning/execution and strategic succession planning tied to business needs and goals. Identifies short- medium- and long-term resourcing issues and plans. Provides fact and data-based recommendations to senior leadership. Oversees the benefits programs including but not limited to salary grading, annual salary reviews, health and wellness benefits, life and disability insurance, retirement and leave of absence programs Provides reports in a timely and accurate manner Develops and implements creative solutions to support business objectives Identifies and leads or supports strategies that will increase employee skills - including but not limited to technical, leadership, and soft skills Benefits Evaluates and recommends innovative, proactive, and responsive benefits strategies to ensure cost-effective, quality programs Assists in the monitoring of benefit plans to ensure plans and procedures are in compliance with applicable federal and state regulations Administers benefits, approving submitted enrollments, programming automated notifications, terminating coverage per policy, and making recommendations for process improvements Ensures the accuracy of all benefit enrollments/changes in the system to provide vendors with accurate eligibility information Performs quality checks of benefits related data Coordinates Annual Benefits Open Enrollment including but not limited to benefits materials, marketing collateral, open enrollment presentations, vendor collaboration and enrollment processing HSE Promote safety plan and eliminate or minimize risks and environmental impacts Ensure hazardous waste storage and documentation of hazardous waste log, statements, authorizations, and other as required Investigate near misses, accidents, and incidents as well as implement and measure the effectiveness of corrective and preventative actions Implement, maintain, and improve the Company's emergency response plans, including first responders Coordinates the implementation of HSE targets and activities, establish strategies/programs related to employee health, as well as strategies to meet HSE requirements Supports HR and production in various activities including OSHA related topics. Consult internally with all departments concerning employee assignments and absence related to injury and/or illness. Consult with physicians and department leadership regarding availability of restricted job assignments Perform monthly and/or quarterly inspections for safety concerns and facility compliance; ensure maintenance of building access controls Develops and implements a risk assessment plan that identifies workplace risks that could impact employee safety and business performance Develops and implements a Hazard Communication Standard (HAZCOM) Plan, coordinate and deploy safety training initiatives. Conducts safety training during new hire orientation. Act as a point of contact for employees with questions about safety, PPE, and/or disability Participate in company led initiatives Deliver safety training programs educating employees on safe working practices, appropriate equipment operation, and emergency procedures Other duties as assigned Qualifications

High School degree required; bachelor's degree preferred Minimum of 5 years' experience of multiple, progressive, and general applied HR experience demonstrating capabilities of resolving complex organizational and employee relations issues Strong analytic skills with an ability to translate business plans and goals into human resources capabilities ne
