Job Description
BAE Systems is hiring a Human Resources Business Partner to support our Combat Mission Systems (CMS) business in York, PA. In this role, the Human Resources Business Partner will have responsibility for a broad range of HR Business Partner activities including: employee and labor relations, counsel and advice to management, assist in roll out and delivery of HR Programs and initiatives, Diversity and Inclusion efforts, salary/merit planning and administration, employee training and organizational development, employee engagement, staff/resource planning and associated activity, as well as participate in efforts to enhance site culture and change management.
Location/Schedule/Travel:
This role is 100% Onsite in York, PA
The typical starting time is between 7:00AM-8:30AM EST
This role supports Manufacturing with multiple shifts and requires flexibility to come in early morning or late evening to support 3rd shift employees, typically a few times each month
This position will work a 9/80 schedule where you will have every other Friday off
There may be up to 10% travel involved to corporate offsite or industry events
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the Centers of Expertise (COEs) and all elements of the HR delivery model to ensure the delivery of world class HR services.
Support the Labor Relations Manager in the Grievance Process, including written grievance responses.
Work as POC for Accommodations and serve a liaison between HR and SHE.
Coordinate, facilitate, and/or assist in training activities for York Manufacturing Leaders and Bargaining Unit Employees.
Support business activities that support a culture that is diverse and inclusive.
Act as a change agent for key HR and business changes and provide project management for assigned key HR projects.
Assist in managing leave of absence process and return to work of FMLA, STD, and LTD claims and workers compensation, including necessary communication with the employee and management team.
Respond to employee relations issues, e.g., employee complaints, and escalate to HR Manager as needed; assist in guiding and coaching managers during the employee disciplinary process.
Coordinate/conduct new hire orientation.
Perform a variety of complex administrative support duties for human resources, one or more supervisors, managers, individual contributors, or organizational unit.
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor's Degree and 2 years work experience or equivalent experience
Experience in HR Generalist and/or HR Business Partner roles
Experience in Manufacturing or Skilled Trades industry environment
Experience in Employee Relations Investigations
Experience in Leadership Coaching/Advising
Ability to maintain confidentiality
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
Computer skills in MS Office and industry related software (i.e., Peoplesoft, Oracle, etc.)
Must be flexible to support HR activities on 3 shift operations
Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Degree in Human Resource, Business, or related
HR Certification from SHRM or HRCI
Experience in Union/Labor Relations
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $58300 - $99100
