ECS Mid-Atlantic, LLC Geotechnical Project Manager II (Geostructural) in York, Pennsylvania

Primarily involved with geostructural design, including calculations and plan preparation related to the service line, including ground improvement, retaining wall design, temporary support of excavation, underpinning, temporary groundwater dewatering, slope stability and specialty deep foundation types such as micropiles. Assist with review of submittals from contractors awarded GeoStructural designs, including vendor qualifications, materials, procedures, proof and verification tests, and other related construction documentation Prepare geostructural proposals, manage project budgets, and prepare change orders and invoices Host or attend project meetings with clients to follow up on delivered reports and provide technical solutions as necessary Field responsibilities may include assisting with or performing the following with supervision: Perform boring and test pit layouts and supervision of subcontractors performing work Perform/supervise in-situ testing Field classify soils and assign samples for laboratory testing Keep project staff informed of changing site conditions and/or additional testing requested on project sites Other duties may include assisting with or performing the following with supervision: Prepare AutoCAD drawings for engineering designs Prepare drilling packages and obtain utility clearances Perform research on local geologic history, soils maps and geohazard mapping Supervise field work performed by drilling/test pit crews and assist with rig access issues Classify soil/rock and assign laboratory testing Mentor and support Staff Project Managers, Assistant Staff Project Managers, and technicians in their development What We're Looking For

BS and/or MS in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Geological Engineering, or similar. Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) required. 3+ years of experience in geotechnical engineering. Strong technical aptitude and knowledge of geotechnical principles. Basic knowledge of geotechnical-focused software, such as Lpile, GROUP, Rocscience Suite, MSEW, SNAIL Experience with MathCAD, AutoCAD and/or MicroStation preferred Strong knowledge of geotechnical and construction materials testing ASTM, AASHTO, and/or NCMA standards Excellent project management and communication skills. Experience leading and developing engineering teams. Knowledge of industry standards and safety regulations. Business development experience. Who We Are
