Position Overview: This role will work as a team member for a leading electrical contractor as Director of Distribution Operations with responsibility for all aspects of the operations for this Line of Business (LOB). The position includes supervising and managing all operational resources allocated to the LOB including personnel and equipment. The Director is accountable for the success and profitability of this LOB.

Base Location/Travel Requirements: This position is based out of Pennsylvania (preferably York, PA) Travel will be required to other operation centers, offices, and also to attend training and offsite team building meetings. Customer-related travel will also be required.

Essential Functions/Duties: Provide Leadership and Expertise: Create and maintain a safe, positive, energetic, forward thinking atmosphere. Participate in the safety committee and work with Director of SQ to ensure an incident-free workplace through the elimination of at-risk behaviors. Exemplify, communicate, and conduct business in accordance with corporate values, policies, and procedures. Recommend additions or revisions to existing policies, procedures and work methods when warranted to address a unique situation or when it will result in an improvement. Represent the division, per the request of regional management, with customers and industry associations. Review projects regularly to address problems, monitor progress, ensure compliance of specifications, and quality of work performed. With assistance from the Director of Operations, develop an annual budget including capital expenditures consistent with business plan. Keep Score: Monitor key safety indicators including incident rate, lost workdays, and vehicle incidents. Monitor profitability of projects. Monitor and verify that estimators and project managers are conducting project start up meetings, project closeout meetings and final project walk through in accordance with company policy. Participate as needed. Monitor quality of work being performed. Monitor the performance of subcontractors and vendors and coordinate with the vendor management committee. Monitor project documentation and ensure that appropriate correspondence and records are being maintained. Maintain an awareness of the overall health of the region from both a financial and morale standpoint. Review financial performance of the regions with the Direction of Operations and CFO on a monthly basis. Manage Resources: Monitor and manage utilization of equipment allocated to the regions. Coordinate the allocation of manpower between regions. Coach and provide expertise to projects and regions to assist in achieving company, divisional, and regional VTO. Work with estimators, project managers, owners, engineers and subcontractors to resolve project problems; problems outside your responsibility or that require additional staff support are to be referred to the Director of Operations. Expansion of business opportunities: In conjunction with the Operations Managers, maintain relationships with existing clients and look for opportunities to expand or enhance services to them. Develop new business opportunities and clients. Work with Business Development Manager to develop marketing materials as needed. Make presentations to clients, potential clients, or Leadership team. Oversee and participate in the proposal and bidding process. Review proposals and bids for completeness and compliance with RFP and contractual requirements. Submit proposals and bid work to maintain a workload that meets or exceeds revenue, profit, and growth goals.

Education, Skills, Experience: Required: Business related Bachelor's degree or equivalent combin tion of education and experience. Minimum of 10 years' experience of progressive responsibility in Electrical Construction, including demonstrated ability to lead and manage a business unit, including work acquisition and execution responsibilities. Capability to develop and implement long-term strategic plans. Expertise in budgeting and financial management. Strong proficiency in MS Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint). Strong communication, organizational, analytical, leadership, and relationship skills. Desired: Experience with the Samsara platform.
