Controller - Corporate Finance
Location: WellSpan Health, York, PA
Schedule: Full Time
General Summary
Maintains general ledger and produces and reviews monthly financial statements for the System and entities. Performs day to day cash management. Prepares annual tax filings. Supervises accounting staff.
Duties and Responsibilities
Essential Functions:
Directs and assists general accounting staff in recording and posting transactions to general ledger and preparing monthly financial reports.
Supervises accounts payable staff and ensures that controls over disbursement of funds are maintained.
Monitors cash balances, invests excess cash and reconciles investment accounts.
Facilitates and/or prepares annual budgets in coordination and liaison with operating managers.
Directs and assists in the preparation and filing of returns for federal, state and local income taxes, mercantile taxes and payroll taxes.
Ensures maintenance and integrity of accounting systems.
Assists in development and implementation of policies and procedures.
Qualifications
Minimum Education:
- Bachelors Degree Required
Work Experience:
- 5 years Relevant experience. Required
Licenses:
- Certified Public Accountant Upon Hire Preferred
Courses and Training:
- Accounting/finance Upon Hire Required
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Cost finding and analytical skills.
