Advanced Practice Provider - Palliative Care

Location: WellSpan Medical Group, York, PA

Schedule: Full Time

What you can expect at your practice:

  • Opportunity for a Nurse Practitioner to join our interdisciplinary team at York Hospital

  • Full-time position, (4) 10s; no weekends/holidays/call

  • Inpatient position developing and implementing personalized care plans to manage symptoms and improve comfort for our patients

  • Experience preferred with a background in home health, hospice or palliative care but will accept new grads with a passion for enhancing patient's quality of life

Qualifications

Minimum Education:

  • Masters Degree Nurse Practitioner Required or

  • Bachelors Degree Physician Assistant Required

  • Masters Degree Physician Assistant Preferred

Work Experience:

  • 1 year Required

Licenses:

  • Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner Upon Hire Required or

  • National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants Upon Hire Required and

  • Basic Life Support Upon Hire Required or

  • Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire Required

Courses and Training:

  • BLS and/or ACLS as appropriate for the clinical role. Upon Hire Required and

  • Nurse Practitioner - board certified by American Nurses Credentialing Center Commission on Certification Upon Hire Required and

  • Nurse Practitioner - Completion of an accredited program for nurse practitioners Upon Hire Required or

  • Physician Assistant - Graduate of accredited physician assistant program Upon Hire Required
