Robert Half VP/Director of Finance in York, Pennsylvania
Description We are in search of a VP/Director of Finance to take on a strategic role in our organization. The position is based in YORK, Pennsylvania, and will involve providing financial direction and vision, driving performance through a deep understanding of business operations, and managing various financial functions. The role will also involve responsibility for the organization's IT function and contributing to the formulation of long-term business strategies.
Responsibilities:
• Drive financial performance through a deep understanding of business operations
• Oversee the financial stewardship of all business assets
• Ensure timely delivery of complete and accurate financial statements, management reports, budgets, and forecasts in compliance with regulatory requirements
• Manage the financial, accounting, tax, insurance, auditing, credit, risk assessment, and related functions of the organization
• Oversee the Information Technology function and ensure critical priorities are met to drive efficient operations
• Provide analysis, interpretation, and decision-support to the executive team
• Engage in short and long-term planning and lead the successful execution of related initiatives to contribute to the achievement of the organization’s strategic direction
• Shape longer-term strategies related to the business
• Use strategic financial planning, US GAAP, financial analysis & reporting, and internal controls to drive business success
• Develop and implement continuous improvement and benchmarking processes, procedures, policies, and best practices, including through the leveraging of technology Requirements • Must possess a deep understanding of CapEx (Capital Expenditure) operations and management.
• Proven experience in overseeing and managing all accounting functions.
• Demonstrated expertise in designing and implementing budget processes.
• Proficiency in cash flow analysis and providing financial insights.
• Extensive experience in conducting month-end close processes.
• Ability to prepare and analyze monthly balance sheets.
• Solid understanding of Profit & Loss (P& L) calculation and financial forecasting.
• Strong leadership skills with a track record in a similar senior finance role.
• Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
• A degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is required.
• Professional certification such as CPA (Certified Public Accountant) or CFA (Chartered Financial Analyst) is preferred.
• Proficiency in financial software and databases.
• Strong analytical and strategic planning skills.
• High ethical standards and professionalism in dealing with confidential information.
