The Anchorage Motor Inns of York at 265 Long Beach Ave, York Beach, ME 03910 We are hiring for 6 temporary full-time front desk. 04/01/2025 12/5/2025 in York Beach, ME. \$17.77 per hour. 35 hrs/week. Overtime may be available/not guaranteed at \$26.66. Employees must complete company training (paid).
Duties: Organize, confirm, process, and conduct all guest check-ins/check-outs, room reservations, requests, changes, and cancellations. Secure payment; verify and adjust billing. Activate and file room keys. Process all guest requests and relay messages. Print contingency lists to have a record of all guests in case of emergency. Identify and explain room features to guests; supply guests with directions and information regarding property amenities, services, and hours of operation, and local areas of interest. Ensure that any outstanding requests or problems from the previous day receive priority and are resolved. Run and review daily reports/logs. Utilize a computer or keyboard to register guests, make reservations, and all shift procedures. Complete designated cashier and closing reports in the computer system. Accept and record wake-up call requests and deliver to appropriate department. Count bank at beginning and end of shift; secure bank. Process all payment types, adjustment vouchers, paid-outs, correction vouchers, and miscellaneous charges; provide change. Follow all company policies and procedures; report accidents, injuries, and unsafe work conditions to manager; ensure uniform and personal appearance are clean and professional; maintain confidentiality of proprietary information; protect company assets. Welcome and acknowledge all guests according to company standards; anticipate and address guests service needs; assist individuals with disabilities; thank guests with genuine appreciation. Speak with others using clear and professional language; answer telephones using appropriate etiquette. Develop and maintain positive working relationships with others; support team to reach common goals. Comply with quality assurance expectations and standards. Stand, sit, or walk for an extended period of time. Some areas of the Inn are stairs access only. Must be able to lift up to 40lbs. All other duties as assigned. May work day, evening, or overnight shifts - 7am-3pm, 3pm -11pm, 11pm - 7am or some combination of listed times.
Education/experience: No educational experience is required. No work experience is required.
Employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due & workers will be paid weekly. Optional housing may be available employer can assist in finding housing; if elected, weekly rate may vary from \$85 - \$125 depending on type & style. If the employee chooses to utilize these services then they will be payroll deducted. If housing is elected, housing deposit can be payroll deducted - \$200 or greater. Wage increases may be available based on performance and/or past experience. Employer will make all deductions from the workers paycheck required by law. Employer will reimburse employee of all visa, visa processing, border crossing, and other related fees, included those mandated by government, incurred by the H-2B worker in the first work week. The employer will pay for daily subsistence at least \$15.88 per day during travel to a maximum of \$59.00 per day with receipts. The employer will provide the workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. Shift will vary based on business demands; open 7 days per week. Typical work hours are 3pm 11:00pm but may vary based on business needs; may work day, evening, or overnight shifts - 7am-3pm, 3pm -11pm, 11pm - 7am or combination of listed times. Employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least s of the workday in each 12 week period of the total employment period. If the worker completes 50% of the work contract period, employer will, in the next pay cycle, reimburse the H-2B worker for transportation and subsistence costs from the place from which the worker has come to work for the employer to the place of employment, as required by 20 CFR 655.18(b)(12). Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, employer will provide or pay for workers reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved.
