The Senior Technical Assistant will provide on-site facilitation of learning and technical support for the ATTAIN (Advanced Technology Training and Information Networking) lab. The incumbent will work in collaboration with EOC Administrators and UCAWD (University Center for Academic and Workforce Development) ATTAIN Statewide Coordinators; become proficient in the use of the ISI courseware (e.g., computer-assisted instruction: vocational instructional, academic instructional and life management software), Microsoft training resources and any third-party software; and participate in meetings, workshops and seminars for the purpose of conveying and/or gathering information required to perform functions. The incumbent will also create, monitor and update a monthly schedule for lab operations and training sessions, in coordination with EOC Administrators and UCAWD ATTAIN Statewide Coordinator. Effective execution of objectives set forth within the lab's Implementation Plan is required. The Senior Technical Assistant will submit monthly status reports, provide the initial orientation for all new participants and train in person and remote lab participants on software and courseware resources, respond to and log daily LMS requests, and follow up with participants through program completion. They will also assist with Summer Institute, ATTAIN registration for all new WEOC students, and attend WEOC program orientations. They will also identify and assist in developing training pathways for individual participants based on available lab resources; provide participant intervention and technical assistance at the learning stations, as needed; and report, log and record hardware and/or technical problems and their resolutions. The successful incumbent will perform other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS: The successful candidate must possess a high school or equivalency diploma and three years of experience in area of specialty. The successful candidate must also be proficient and have working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and Microsoft certifications. Strong communication, written, organizational and presentation skills is required. The incumbent must also be able to work independently.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: A Bachelor's degree in education or related discipline is strongly preferred. Two or more years' experience working with the adult population (training, advising and/or mentoring) is also preferred. Experience with computer software applications in reading, writing and math is preferred. The ability to promote professional and ethical behavior and experience working with underserved/underprepared populations is preferred. Bilingual also preferred.

POSITION EFFECTIVE: The position will remain open until filled.
WORK SCHEDULE: Monday through Thursday, 12:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Fridays 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., except during the summer when all days will be 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
SALARY & BENEFITS: The starting salary is $55,138. Additional compensation with seniority steps maximize at a salary of $67,566. This position is fully grant funded.
