The opportunity
Delaware North Parks and Resorts is hiring seasonal Team Members Dining Room Supervisor to join our team at Yellowstone General Stores in Yellowstone National Park, Wyoming for our 2025 season. What will you do?
Create weekly dining room menus from personal or established recipes
Prepare food to comply with all portion sizes, quality standards, department rules, policies, and procedures, ensuring proper food temperatures are maintained, food is stored correctly, the freshness and quality of all menu items, and packages all products to proper specifications
Prepare food for our team members in our dining room kitchen
Supervise food prep and proper breakdown, rotation, labeling, dating and food storage while maintaining food quality, presentation and sanitation standards
Verify that portion sizes, recipes, quality standards, policies and procedures are maintained
Ensure all kitchen equipment is in full working order
Maintain food cost within parameters set by culinary leadership
More about you
No college degree required
At least 2 years of experience as a Sous Chef or Kitchen Supervisor
Ability to effectively communicate with others in a leadership capacity
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, be attentive, and detail oriented
Basic math skills; ability to understand, calculate and follow recipe measurements and proportions
Physical requirements
Manual dexterity sufficient to chop, mix, blend, whip etc. a variety of foods and liquids
Ability to carry 30 pounds and lift and carry large pans weighing up to 50 pounds
Standing and walking for entire length of shift
Frequently required to reach up to 6-7 feet, twist at waist, bending and squatting
