Scope of Work

Th e IRC wi l l esta b l i s h a c o m mun ity of p ra cti c e ( C oP ) to s u p p o rt the s k i l l s of w om e n’s o r g a n izati o ns a n d n e t w o rk s , a n d m em b ers of t h e G B V s u b clus ter to provi d e evi d ence- b as ed i n t erv enti ons for G B V p r e v enti on a n d r es po n se. The W PE C o P M a n ag e r, wi l l tra i n, a ss i s t, and pr o vide tech n i c al GBV su p er vi s i on t o IRC a n d pa r tn e r s taff a n d w om en’s n e tworks in M ya n m ar. Main Responsibilities

  • Identi f y wo m en ri g hts or g a n izati ons and esta b l ish the c omm u nity o f pra c tice ( C o P ).

  • I d enti fy train i ng n eeds and g aps within t h e C o P and d e v e l o p plans to rai s e t h eir t ech n i c al and pro g ram i m p leme n tation c a p aci t y.

  • I m p leme n t cap a c i ty pl a ns t h rou g h t rain i n g , c o a chi ng and c lose su p e r vi sio n.

    Qualifications

    What should you have?

    Education

  • Bachelor of Arts or Science in Social Science, Public Health, Humanities or other related field At least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in NGOs

    Experiences

  • Strong experience coordinating with CSOs and NGO partners.

  • Strong experience facilitating trainings, workshops and mentoring others.

  • Strong GBV technical knowledge and experience implementing service delivery in Myanmar.

  • Strong ability to organize work, coordinate multiple tasks, meet deadlines, work in a professional environment, work under pressure, and work within a multi-cultural team

  • Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with relevant stakeholders including partner organizations.

  • Excellent facilitation skills.

  • Ability to work with culturally diverse national and international staff.

  • Willingness to participate and contribute as a team member, under challenging working and living conditions.

  • Strong report writing skills.

  • Computer skills in Microsoft Office.

  • Good understanding of humanitarian principles of humanity and neutrality.

  • Ability to work and travel in remote areas.

  • Demonstrating trustworthiness and upholding the highest ethical standards.

  • Strong ability to organize work, coordinate multiple tasks, work under pressure, and work within a multi ‐ cultural team.

    Language

  • Strong written and spoken English

    Myanmar nationals with relevant skills sets and proven experience of working at international level are strongly encouraged.
