Key responsibilities include:
Complies with established job safety practices, policies and procedures as specified in plant and corporate directives for the safe performance of work assignment
Supports and follows the guidelines of all safety systems
Conducts inspection of in-process materials and in-process finished product to meet customers specification
Advise production when inspection when inspection results do not meet customer specifications
Responsible for replenishing supplies and materials required for assigned areas
Performs record keeping duties as required under the direction of management
Performs trouble shooting and preventive maintenance on inspection equipment as required
Accesses, inputs, and retrieves information from the computer/computerized systems
Communicates relevant information to the next shift
May perform Production Operators duties as assigned for break relief
May perform as back up for inspector Quality Assurance Chief
May produce printing plates on a backup basis
Provides technical support as needed
May be required to go to customer(s) to trouble shoot equipment and/or finished cans
Performs cleaning and housekeeping duties at all times
Initiates, reviews and follows all standard operating procedures (SOPs) for area of responsibilities
Establish and maintains effective work relationship within department, division, group and the company. Includes ability to handle stress and to interact with others in order to establish and maintain a positive and productive work environment and minimize personal conflict.
Required to work on assigned schedules/shifts, rotating days and nights, Monday through Sunday, working hours may vary as specified management. Incumbent must be able to work overtime on a regular basis and/or be on call as directed by management
Works under general supervision
Must be able to communicate effectively, read, comprehend and follow complicated verbal and written instructions
Communicates with emergency coordinators/environment health and safety personnel regarding environmental management activities
Understand and respond effectively in accordance to EHS procedures during emergencies
Recognizes waste stream and minimizes waste generation, through prudent use of materials, proper disposals and segregation as directed. Understands and practices proper accumulation and storage requirements of wastes
Complies with environmental regulations when using, dispensing, or handling hazardous and non-hazardous materials and wastes
Other duties assigned by the management
Implement ISO standard or other similar international standard if any.
Knowledge and experience required:
At lease degree Chemistry, Chemical Engineering etc. or quality related diplome
Minimum of 3 years of hands on experience related to checking quality standards of products.
Ability to apply standard evaluation, selection and substantial adaptation and modification of standard quality control techniques, procedures and criteria
Ability to identify product defects using appropriate inspection procedures and test equipment
Ability to understand changeover process according to the SOPs
Ability to learn customer specification
Ability to maintain inspection equipment
Ability to use charts and graphs
Ability operate and functionally use and computer
Must maintain professional competence, ethical integrity, knowledge and skills
Work experience in a Multinational Manufacturing field is an advantage
Fluency in Myanmar language.
Ability to communicate in English.
Able to work in a team
