Robert Half Collections Specialist II in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania

Description We are offering a long term contract employment opportunity for a Collections Specialist II in Wyomissing, Pennsylvania. In this role, you will be tasked with managing delinquent accounts and ensuring prompt payment. Your responsibilities will extend from direct communication with customers to implementing repayment schedules based on individual financial situations.

Responsibilities

• Engage with customers through various modes of communication to discuss overdue payments and clarify the terms of sales, services or credit contracts.

• Utilize your negotiation skills to persuade customers to settle amounts due on credit accounts, damage claims, or nonpayable checks.

• Work independently to locate and monitor overdue accounts, ensuring timely and effective collection.

• Arrange for debt repayment options or establish repayment schedules by understanding customers' financial situations.

• Receive payments and ensure they are accurately posted to customer accounts.

• Maintain comprehensive and accurate records of collections.

• Leverage your knowledge of federal, state, and company policies, procedures, and regulations related to collections.

• Utilize computer applications such as Microsoft Word and other collections software to document and record customer/client information.

• Prepare statements for the credit department in instances where customers do not respond.

• Exercise customer service skills to resolve customer inquiries and maintain customer satisfaction. Requirements • Proficiency in Customer Service, demonstrating excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to handle client concerns effectively.

• Sales acumen, with a track record of achieving targets and driving business growth.

• Familiarity with standard Procedures in the collections industry, ensuring compliance and efficiency.

• Expertise in Payment Processing, including checks and electronic payments.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word and other relevant computer programs to maintain records and generate reports.

• Ability to Review and understand Contracts, ensuring adherence to terms and conditions.

• Knowledge of the 'About Time' time management software, or similar tools.

• Experience in Merchandising, understanding the importance of product positioning and promotion.

• Proficiency in Check Processing, ensuring timely and accurate processing of payments.

• In-depth understanding of Collection Processes, with the ability to manage and track overdue accounts.

• Ability to Perform Ad Hoc Financial tasks, demonstrating flexibility and problem-solving skills.

• Experience in Claim Administration, ensuring accurate and timely processing of claims.

• Knowledge of Regulation in the collections industry, ensuring compliance with all legal and company guidelines.

• Proficiency in Credit management, with the ability to assess and manage risk.

• Strong Negotiation skills, with the ability to resolve disputes and reach mutually beneficial resolutions.

• Understanding of Company Policy, ensuring all actions align with organizational standards and goals.

• Ability to manage Customer Accounts effectively, with a focus on maintaining positive client relationships.

• Experience in managing Delinquencies, with a proactive approach to minimizing overdue accounts.

• Previous experience as a Collector in a similar role, demonstrating industry knowledge and expertise.

• Excellent Written Communication skills, with the ability to clearly and professionally convey information.

• Knowledge of Overdrafts and how to manage them effectively, ensuring minimal financial impact.

• Experience with 'A Plus' software, or similar tools.

• Familiarity with various Computer Programs used in collections, demonstrating technical proficiency.

• Understanding of Repayment strategies, with the ability to develop and implement effective plans.
