Vail Resorts Principal Conversational Architect in Wyoming

About this role:

We are looking for an experienced Conversational Architect to lead our conversational AI initiatives. This role will be responsible for guiding the implementation of guest-facing AI initiatives to help differentiate and enhance the experience for our guests with Vail Resorts. In addition to leading new functionality and experiences to market, this role will also help drive broader AI and innovation initiatives within the company.

The ideal candidate will have experience with emerging AI technologies and frameworks with a background in Data Science and Machine Learning. In addition to technical skill sets, the candidate will also have a passion and proven track record of working closely with business partners and contractors to deliver high quality and resilient application.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead requirements and architecture sessions with product owners and business stakeholders to provide the most impactful and aligned conversational AI experience.

  • Manage the technical delivery and release of AI features and functionality including the development and implementation of ongoing QA and testing of AI agents

  • Work directly and align resourcing, timing, and delivery milestones with internal technical teams as well as vendors and contractors

  • Develop and lead conversations with all stakeholders and participants around project status, updates, and key decisions

  • Bring innovative and thoughtful perspective to leveraging AI to help differentiate the guest or employee experience

  • Keep the team and leadership informed of industry trends and opportunities through clear and proactive communication

Qualifications:

  • Demonstrated experience in Architecting, Designing, and Building virtual agent solutions (preferably Dialogflow CX)

  • Experience bringing agents or other interactive technologies to market

  • Deep understanding of concepts surrounding NLP/NLU, Data Science, Machine Learning, and AI technologies

  • Demonstrated experience implementing solutions with a focus on continuous evolution and improvement

  • Proficiency with programming languages like Java or Python and data integration solutions

  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, and the ability to articulate technical concepts to both peers and executives

  • Ability to visualize and detail technical concepts and opportunities as visual or prototypes outcomes for discussion and alignment

  • Strong leadership skills and experience leading a project across multiple internal and external teams

The expected Total Compensation for this role is $160,000 + annual bonus. Individual compensation decisions are based on a variety of factors.

Vail Resorts offers a ‘Hybrid’ work environment where employees living within 50 miles of the Broomfield office work on-site Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday and have flexibility to work off-site on Mondays and Fridays. Employees living outside of a commutable distance can work remotely from British Columbia, Washington D.C., and the 16 U.S. states* in which we currently operate. This includes: California, Colorado, Indiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, New Hampshire, New York, Nevada, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Utah, Vermont, Washington State, Wisconsin, and Wyoming.
