$36-$42
Monday-Friday
40+ hours

RESPONSIBILITIES
Areas of specific responsibility will include the following.
Oversee all mechanics/yard attendants
Mechanic - Responsibilities:
Perform vehicle repairs to ensure vehicles are safe and will perform optimally
Perform preventative maintenance, safety inspections and annual maintenance inspections
Diagnose and repair mechanical problems
Ensure work orders are completed properly and accurately (including hours and usage of parts)
Evaluate completed work, and if necessary, consult with supervisor to ensure machine/truck is functioning properly and meets safety standards
Maintain a clean and safe work environment (Safety is not just our first name!)
Complete tasks assigned by the supervisor in an effective and timely manner
Yard Supervisor - Responsibilities:
Hold Daily 2-Minute Safety Huddle at beginning of each shift. Make sure all employees have proper PPE. Discuss any Hazards to be aware of for the shift.
Assign employees to Inspect Forklifts (all forklifts are to be inspected daily before use)
Gather all fill sheets in the morning
Meet with Shop to address any scheduling concerns between the shop and fill teams
Assign fill team member specifics tasks
Confirm with operations that fill sheets are filled out properly
Ensure all yard areas are clean and organized
Physically check all inventory levels
Submit material orders before levels have fallen below thresholds
Train current and new yard team members
Transport trucks for repairs
Responsible for daily schedule of all Shop Employees
Responsible for working with Parts/Inventory Supervisor on re-order levels, locations arrivals of inventory
QUALIFICATIONS
Important technical skills/functional abilities include:
Valid Medical Card
Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
CDL preferred
Tanker/hazmat certification a plus
Vocational or technical degree in vehicle maintenance is preferred
High School Diploma or GED.
Attention to detail
Proficient computer skills
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and multitask
Must be able to lift or move 50 lbs. and complete repetitive lifting, bending, and stooping or kneeling
Must have appropriate mechanic’s toolset
One to two years of automotive or diesel repair employment experience or a combination of education and experience
Knowledge of air brakes, hydraulic systems, DPF and DEF systems as well as AC
Electrical and electronics
Strong interpersonal skills and a positive attitude!
Isuzu, Peterbilt, Ford, International, Paccar and Cummins experience is a plus.
