We are seeking a professional like you to join our team as a Quality Assurance Technician in the Wyandotte Polyol plant – makers of high-performance conventional polyols and graft polyols used in automotive, bedding, filtration, and other specialty applications. In this role, you will work rotating 12-hour shifts and be responsible for quality assurance testing of raw materials, intermediates, and final products. You will apply your basic understanding of general chemistry and ISO 9001 requirements to maintain quality control as a key member of the manufacturing team.

During your 12-hour shift as a Quality Assurance Technician, you will

• Accurately performing analysis of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods at our polyol plant according to written procedures and delivering the results to the production team in a timely manner to ensure smooth plant operations.

• Gain proficiency in utilizing SAP database systems, accurately inputting all test data into SAP, and organizing quality records accordingly.

• Understand ISO 9001 quality standards and supporting the laboratory in compliance with regulations and standards.

• Engage within the organization and frequently interacting with colleagues, the production team, and the management team to deliver results, and discuss any quality related problems, and provide innovative ideas to improve lab and plant processes.

• Support the laboratory in ensuring suitability of laboratory equipment through proper operation, maintenance, calibration, verification, and good quality control and assessment activities.

• Order lab supplies in a timely manner, maintaining the inventory of laboratory chemicals, storing and labeling chemicals appropriately while adhering to OSHA laboratory.

If you...

• Have a minimum Associate degree/ college diploma with 2 years of experience working in a laboratory setting, or a B.S. in Chemistry or related field.

• Are willing and able to work rotating 12-hour shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.

• Have flexibility with the schedule to support the team in opening shifts.

• In addition, have familiarity and experience with specific laboratory equipment such as Karl Fischer and Gas Chromatograph, it will be considered as an additional qualification.
