Help at Home Direct Support Professional - Weekday & Saturday Shifts, 28 hours/week in Wright City, Missouri

Make an impact in Wright City by providing one-on-one in-home care and fostering community engagement for individuals with disabilities.

  • Shifts:

  • Monday–Friday: 3:00 PM to 7:00 PM

  • Saturday: 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM (28 hours/week)

  • Environment: Dog in the home; no smoking

  • Additional Requirements: Driver’s license and insured vehicle required for errands

  • Pay: $17/hr with weekly pay

Direct Support Professional typically works in a private home with 1 on 1 ratio, and common activities include:

  • In-Home Assistance – Help your clients with day-to-day activities like preparing meals, cleaning, dressing, grooming, laundry, monitoring vital signs, bathing, toileting, technology and other basic activities

  • Companionship – Join your clients in playing games, arts and crafts, and accompany them to events outside the home like appointments, grocery shopping and running errands

  • Community Building – Create a safe and positive living situation for your clients by communicating with the family and other staff about any concerns or challenges

In order to be eligible for this role, you should have:

  • A HS Diploma or GED

  • A valid driver’s license

  • Access to insured and reliable transportation

  • Recognition of the needs of others, and the ability to build relationships with people from different backgrounds
