AAA Mid Atlantic Membership Product Development Manager in Worthington, Ohio

The primary duties of the Membership Product Development Manager are to:

  • Develops membership products and benefits of value and enhances existing benefits, including developing financial projections and new product/benefit P&Ls. Works with other on appropriate marketing, communication and launch plans.

  • Accountable for Member product/benefit feedback to ensure Club remains relevant to new and emerging consumer segments.

  • Monitors and manages membership product profitability and penetration.

  • Continually assesses membership product pricing and benefits to ensure AAA membership remains relevant and valuable to members and non-members and aligns with the Club’s membership and revenue growth goals.

  • Identifies ways to enhance existing membership product value. Works with the Consumer and Market Research Department, AAA National and external vendors and consultants to enhance existing membership product benefits and pricing; including price elasticity and primary product benefit research and existing studies.

  • Provides regular reporting and analysis pertaining to new membership products, new benefits and new membership policies.

  • Makes recommendations to enhance product benefits, pricing, payment plans and policies to improve profitability and/or market/membership penetration.

  • Collaborates with other areas of the Club and business lines to enhance the value of Basic, Plus, Premier and RV memberships.

  • Serves as the subject matter expert regarding competition. Maintains and updates a competitive intelligence database. Leads/serves on competitive intelligence works groups. Works with Consumer and Market Research on competitive and market environment research and studies.

  • Interfaces with other AAA Clubs and AAA National to inquire about new membership and benefit introductions.

  • Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

  • BA/BS in Marketing or related field.

  • 7+ years of experience in marketing, product development or a related field.

  • Strong acumen for developing/conducting research, pricing models, focus groups and data insights

  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.

  • Strong planning and project management experience.

  • Possess strong analytical skills to identify, recommend and implement product to improve business results.

  • Effective at managing a variety of projects that require significant interaction with other departments.

  • Works well with minimal supervision, effectively sets priorities, meets deadlines, and effectively makes critical decisions.

  • Adept at viewing the organization holistically, to better understand impacts on membership products and membership value.

  • Proven capability in leading a team of professionals to accomplish strategic and operational goals.

  • Demonstrates commitment to Shared Values when interfacing with internal and external sources.

  • Working knowledge of various Microsoft applications including, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook and Access.
