Description
Job Summary
Provide administrative leadership for the development, growth, and coordination of youth development and young women’s leadership programs. Oversee departmental operations, including staff supervision, budget management, volunteer recruitment, community engagement, program marketing, case management, and participant support.
Supervisory Responsibilities
Recruit, train, supervise, and evaluate the performance of direct reports.
Approve and manage staff timesheets.
Duties/Responsibilities
Direct the development, expansion, and coordination of youth development and young women’s leadership programs, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.
Prepare and manage annual operating plans and program budgets in accordance with the organization’s strategic and financial plans.
Collaborate with department directors, volunteers, community leaders, businesses, and industry representatives to develop, market, and fund new programs.
Design, implement, and maintain systems for program planning, monitoring, and evaluation to meet established goals and objectives.
Build and sustain partnerships with community groups, agencies, and organizations to foster advocacy, program development, and increased participation.
Represent the organization on relevant committees and at forums or events, as assigned.
Prepare and analyze program data and performance reports for funders, administrators, and committees.
Perform other duties as required to support the organization’s mission.
Required Skills/Abilities
Bi-lingual capabilities are preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work independently, with energy, self-direction, and motivation under pressure.
Skilled in meeting deadlines, managing priorities, and ensuring successful outcomes.
Knowledge of issues related to family and dating violence.
Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to foster cooperation and build relationships across diverse communities.
Deep understanding of cultural, racial, and gender equity principles and their application in youth development work.
The ability to identify and address systemic barriers while promoting inclusivity and equitable access to programs.
Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
Empathetic and caring approach to working with youth and families.
Sound judgment and decision-making abilities.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
Qualifications
Education and Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Human Services, Counseling, Social Services, or a related field is preferred.
Experience working with youth is required.
Minimum of four years of experience in effectively managing a team.
Proven experience working with diverse populations.
Physical Requirements
Ability to lift and carry 25-35 pounds as needed.
Ability to work independently with sound judgment.
