Quality Control Laboratory Technician
Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Quality Control Laboratory Technician to perform quality checks on the production floor. The ideal candidate will conduct product pulls of raw, in-process, and finished samples for testing, maintain records, administer proper labels, and conduct various shelf life evaluations. This role is essential in ensuring product labeling and code dates are verified, and all chemical and microbiological testing on raw, process control, and finished product samples are performed accurately.
Responsibilities
Conduct product pulls of raw, in-process, and finished samples for testing.
Maintain records and administer proper labels of products.
Conduct various shelf life evaluations.
Verify product labeling and code dates.
Perform all chemical and microbiological testing on raw, process control, and finished product samples.
Perform sensory analysis on finished products (e.g., tasting and smelling).
Perform plant audits and checklists.
Conduct benchtop testing in the lab.
Operate lab equipment such as titrators and perform calibrations as required by SOPs, troubleshooting when necessary.
Help maintain organization and cleanliness within the laboratory.
Communicate crucial process control testing and product evaluation results to management as specified by SOPs.
Maintain the company’s Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS) by performing daily data entry of sample identification and results.
Verify supply inventories, restock, and prepare supplies as needed.
Perform any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Bachelor's degree in a Science (Food Science, Food Technology, Chemistry, etc.)

Adaptability to changes and unexpected sample deliveries.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $39520.00 - $45760.00
Direct hires will be able to obtain Daisy benefits from day one of starting. They will accrue paid time off hours weekly. Tey will also receive paid Holidays and other benefits. They will also have access to health and medical care as well as vision and dental.
