Position Summary: CVS Pharmacy, Inc., a CVS Health company, is hiring for the following role in Woonsocket, RI: Manager, Database Administrator responsible for administering, testing, and implementing databases and applying knowledge of database management systems. Duties include: identify, investigate, and resolve database issues with performance, capacity, and scalability; apply intricate knowledge of database internals with responsibility for database configuration, tuning, maintenance, patching, and problem diagnosis and resolution; responsible for all aspects of the physical database including schemas, DDL, users, and security in development, UAT and production environments; identify and resolve problems occurring in all database environments including performance related issues (database and SQL tuning); support database administration utilities, reorganizations, and index builds; plan, coordinate, and implement security measures to safeguard information and contribute to performance and Disaster Recovery testing; provide proactive support for production and non-production databases, ensuring full compliance of the Service Level Agreements (SLAs); identify and evaluate database systems to serve as a source of information and advice for upper management; develop data models describing data element procedures to create codes to monitor database performance and to create production database; conduct full monitoring of all production databases to ensure that there are no application outages, all performance support jobs and backup jobs have run to successful completion at the appointed time, and the databases are available 24x7; create all application database objects, create and schedule all needed database administration batch jobs, and conduct monitoring, backup and production readiness; and maintain responsibility for the creation and documentation of new environments, standards, and procedures to enhance database performance and security.   • Requirements: Master’s degree (or foreign equivalent) Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field, and two (2) years of experience in the job offered or a related occupation. Requires two (2) years of experience with each of the following: Database administration, maintenance, implementation, and migration; Databases: MSSQL, Azure SQL, and Oracle; Relational data warehouse technologies: SQL; SQL Server Integration Services (SSIS), SQL Server Analysis Services (SSAS), and SQL Server Reporting Services (SSRS); Visualization tools, including PowerBI or Tableau; Infrastructure components: GPU’s or CPU’s; Building high performance data integration solutions, including Extraction, Transformation and Loading (ETL) packages for building Staging Databases; Software development for enterprise or web applications; and Data analysis for health care industry, products, or systems.

Pay Range: $96000.00/year to $130000.00/year.

This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography and other relevant factors.
