Job SummaryEnergo is seeking a positive, goal-oriented Diesel Truck Mechanic for our oil truck fleet. Our diesel mechanics operate in a fast-paced 365-day environment and are an integral part of our organization. Energo offers a very competitive hourly salary (based on experience), full health benefits including vison and dental and contribution to a 401K plan.Job DescriptionRepair and maintain fuel delivery vehicles and diesel equipmentMaintain diesel equipment operation by completing inspections and preventive maintenance requirements; correcting vehicle deficiencies; adjustments and alignments; keeping accurate recordsPerform safety inspections of equipment and prepare safety documents required by the DOT, company and any other Federal, State, or Local regulationsRepair or replace defective parts, components, or systemsPerform preventive maintenance and repairs such as brakes, air systems, air condition repairs etc.Perform safety inspections of equipmentInspect and perform work on the underparts of vehiclesRemove or install various parts on vehiclesEngine diagnostics using computersTest repaired equipment for proper performance and to ensure that the work meets manufacture's specifications and legislated regulationsJob Requirements· Valid and clean Class B Driver’s License· Minimum five (5) years’ experience working for a fuel company as a diesel truck mechanic· Expert in diesel engines and heavy-duty vehicles· High school diploma or general education degree (GED)· Interpret work orders and technical manuals· Flexible work schedule, including extended hours, as necessary· Able to work in a fast-paced work environment· Must possess strength and stamina required to work with heavy equipment and work in awkward positions· The ability to work alone or as a team· The ability to keep up with changing technology and updatesPhysical Requirements & Environmental ConditionsThe physical and environmental demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential responsibilities and functions of the job and are not meant to be all-inclusive.Sit, stand, bend, kneel, crouch, and squat for prolonged periods of time and/or repeatedly over a required period of timeAbility to lift 50 pounds independentlyReach with and work with hands and arms overheadIdentify and avoid Hazardous waste
