Standby Power Systems Consultants Field Service Technician in Woodridge, Illinois

Reporting Relationship:

The Field Service Technician reports to the Service Manager

Responsibilities/Accountabilities

Install/replace battery systems, related accessories, and hardware

Install/replace power electronics equipment/hardware, including wiring and connections

Perform preventive maintenance and testing on battery and battery charging systems in UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supplies), Utility, and Telecommunication settings

Attend and participate in safety training

Adhere to all company and industry safety policies and procedures

Adhere to applicable customer, industry, and manufacturer\'s maintenance/installation methods and standards

Proper operation of basic tools and test equipment

Proper operation of material handling equipment

Continually train and develop to advance Field Service Technician responsibilities

Manage company provided van and tools

Skills/Knowledge

Basic electrical knowledge, or willingness to learn

Familiar with a range of tools, from wrenches to multimeters

Possess troubleshooting skills and be able to effectively operate basic equipment

Excellent communication and customer service skills

Familiar with Microsoft Office software
