Description

A leading aviation company in Van Nuys, CA is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Quality Assurance Specialist to join our team immediately. As a Quality Assurance Specialist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that our operations meet regulatory requirements, industry standards, and internal quality control measures. You will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality assurance processes and procedures to uphold the highest standards of safety, reliability, and performance across all aspects of our operations.   • Develop and implement quality assurance policies, procedures, and standards in compliance with regulatory requirements, industry best practices, and company objectives.

  • Conduct regular audits and inspections of operational processes, facilities, equipment, and documentation to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to quality standards.

  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including operations, maintenance, safety, and regulatory compliance, to identify root causes of quality issues and implement corrective and preventive actions.

  • Establish and maintain comprehensive documentation and records related to quality assurance activities, including audit findings, corrective actions, and performance metrics.

  • Provide training and guidance to employees on quality assurance processes, procedures, and regulatory requirements to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement.

  • Monitor and analyze data and performance indicators to identify trends, assess risks, and drive process improvements to enhance operational efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies, auditors, and external stakeholders to facilitate inspections, audits, and certifications, ensuring compliance with applicable regulations and standards.

  • Participate in incident investigations and root cause analysis to identify systemic issues and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Stay informed of industry developments, regulatory changes, and emerging trends in quality assurance and aviation safety to ensure continuous improvement and compliance with evolving standards.

  • Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Quality Assurance Manager or senior leadership.

    Requirements

  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in quality assurance, quality control, or regulatory compliance within the aviation industry.

  • Thorough understanding of aviation regulations, standards, and best practices, including FAA/EASA regulations and ISO 9001 standards.

  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement data-driven solutions to complex problems.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical information to non-technical stakeholders.

  • Detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and precision in documentation and record-keeping.

  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and quality management software; experience with aviation-specific software systems is a plus.
