BIO RAD LABORATORIES - 390 Supply Assurance Buyer III in Woodinville, Washington

As the Bio-Rad Supply Assurance Buyer III, you will be responsible for ensuring the uninterrupted supply of raw materials to support Bio-Rad's Seattle Operations Manufacuturing. This involves the daily analysis of inventory using MRP (Materials Requirements Planning) prompts for SAP (Systems, Applications and Products) ERP (Enterprise Resource Planning) and ensure appropriate action is taken by the issuance of Purchase Orders for direct materials along with regular communication & follow ups with vendors/suppliers for updates on expected delivery dates and action on any late orders. This also involves a good understanding and responsibility for key planning Master Data (lead time, safety stocks, etc.) to ensure there is confidence in the MRP behaviour. Along with these activities the individual will be in regular communication with other supporting functions (i.e. Planning, Quality Assurance/Regulatory Affairs, Manufacturing Engineering/Manufacturing, Science and Technology, Quality Control, etc.) to provide status updates and take action where needed where supply may be at risk (i.e. alternative material sourcing/qualification). This is a hybrid role working in our Woodinville, WA site 3 days per week. How You'll Make An Impact: Strong Data Analysis skills using SAP (ERP) & Excel to make good decisions to ensure no production downtown due to raw material availability. Strong Communication skills with internal & external stakeholders to support problem solving efforts as it relates to the supply of raw materials to support production plans/schedules. Strong organizational skills to manage large sets of data, maintaining planned delivery dates & quantities. Strong initiative & ownership on managing Master Data such as lead times, safety stock, and other critical Master Data elements that drive MRP behaviours in SAP. Strong financial acumen to support the appropriate allocation of capital to direct materials, ensuring production is properly supplied but also supporting the financial goals of the business/operation. What You Bring: Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Business Administration or related discipline. 1-3 years' experience in Planning/Purchasing or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Coursework towards CPM and/or CPIM certification is preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office (Excel, Word, Access, and PowerPoint). Strong oral and written communication skills, good negotiation skills, and multitasking skills with good organizational skills. Compensation: The estimated annual salary for this position is $70,200.00 to $96,600.00 at the time of posting.
