Heidelberg Materials is seeking an Asphalt Plant Operator to join our team in Woodinville, WA. As a Asphalt Plant Operator, you are responsible for operating and troubleshooting Hot Mix Asphalt batch and drum plants in Woodinville, North Everett, and Kenmore. You will support plant operations and maintenance ensuring a safe and productive work environment.

What You'll Get to Do:
Operate mobile equipment on plant property (excavator, dozer, loader, haul truck, etc.)
Maintain cleanliness of plant work areas
Assist with plant tasks including lubrication, maintenance, repairs
Transport materials to and from storage and shop areas
Utilize equipment in a manner to maximize productivity and minimize wear and down time
Report mechanical or maintenance issues with equipment
Ensure compliance with all health, safety and environmental regulations, and with company policies and procedures and rules/laws specified by site, city, state, federal
Perform daily equipment inspections, as well as identify and assist in correcting unsafe condition
Essential Experience and Skills:
High School Diploma or equivalent required
Experience operating heavy equipment
Ability to work in a team and individually
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Good attendance and punctuality a must
Demonstrate mechanical aptitude for minor preventative maintenance and pre-shift inspections
Must have the physical ability to: climb, stoop, bend, squat, lift (up to 75 lbs.), sit and stand for extended periods of time, kneel, climb ladders, and walk on varied terrain
Must be able to work flexible schedule with flexible hours, hours vary; overtime work, weekends, and nights may be required
Qualify for employment as outlined in Appendix 3 of the Associated General Contractors of Washington and Operating Engineers Local 302 Contract
Preferred Experience and Skills:
- Previous experience in open pit mining operations and aggregate products is an asset

Conditions of Employment:
Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
Applicants must be residing in and currently authorized to work in the US.
Work Environment:
Role operations primarily in environments where the conditions include inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
Ability to work outside year-round, including conditions of extreme hot and cold weather.
