Reporting to the Director, Procurement & Supply Chain Management the Global Trade Compliance Leader is responsible for developing, executing, and managing Videojet’s global export and import trade compliance program and will be located in Wood Dale, IL and will be hybrid.
In this role, a typical day will look like:
Develop and implement Trade Compliance programs to ensure regulatory compliance for import and export operations, including adherence to relevant U.S., EU, and international trade laws.
Serve as the resident expert on U.S., EU, and international export/import requirements, offering consultation to internal teams on compliance issues for all applicable U.S. and international trade regulations.
Oversee and provide guidance to the trade compliance team on compliance activities, including transaction screening, classification, sanctions, license applications, and escalation procedures.
Conduct training on trade laws and company policies for associates and new hires to maintain organizational awareness and compliance with trade laws and regulations.
Manage internal and external audits and disclosures, responding to government inquiries and escalating issues when necessary to ensure full compliance with trade regulations.
Design, implement, and maintain a Duty Drawback program following U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) guidelines and other government regulations, including development of standard operating procedures and compliance controls.
The essential requirements of the job include:
Bachelor’s degree and 8-10 years of experience in import/export administration, including 2-3 years in a supervisory or management role.
Extensive understanding of U.S. import/export control laws, including EAR, OFAC, ITAR, and licensing requirements.
Strong communication skills, high accuracy, and attention to detail, with the capability to work effectively across departments and influence at all levels.
Occasional domestic and international travel, generally less than 30%

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.
The compensation range for this role is $135,000 - $155,000 USD per year. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
