Atlas Senior Project Manager (IH Industrial Hygienist 4) in Woburn, Massachusetts
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Senior Project Manager to join our team. The Senior Project Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of project management, including planning, executing, and closing projects. They will lead a team of project managers and work closely with stakeholders to ensure project success.
Minimum Requirements:
Valid driver’s license, must meet qualifications to successfully complete Drug-Alcohol Testing
Associate degree, Bachelor's degree, or certificate in project planning, management, environmental sciences, engineering, construction, architecture, industrial hygiene, occupational health or a related science field preferred
Related experience may be substituted in lieu of science education requirements.
Must be able to wear a respirator, safety harness, and other personal protective equipment as needed.
10 + years’ of technically sound consulting experience conducting and managing Industrial Hygiene and Building Science projects
Experience conducting Asbestos Surveys, Mold Surveys, Lead-Based Paint Surveys, Radon Surveys, Exposure Monitoring, and/or Noise Monitoring
Proficient in project management and personnel management
Ability to climb stairs/ladders
Ability to travel locally up to 25%
Reliable personal transportation
Job Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Studies reference materials and participates in training and development activities
Utilizes Microsoft applications and internal applications/software programs
Maintain working knowledge of applicable state and federal regulations
Stay current with applicable regulatory knowledge and field industry trends
Performs all aspects of project management duties and provides peer level review of deliverables
Supports all team members above this position in conducting more complex building science and/or industrial hygiene & safety assessments
Supports all team members above this position in performing the preparation and collection of samples and data, including setting up equipment and documenting observations
Analyzes previous building science and/or industrial hygiene & safety surveys to determine if additional sampling is required or to prepare scope of services.
Independently performs field assessments where problems encountered are generally well-understood and easily identified. May direct project teams, assigning tasks based on team members' skills and experience level
Maintains, calibrates, and operates building science and industrial hygiene instruments and equipment, as needed
Compiles and provides summary of analytical data as well as organizes data for reports, and drafts full report with Findings/Conclusions and Recommendations
Assists with implementing strategies, IH standards, administrative controls, and personal protective equipment requirements that aim to control and minimize workplace hazards
Performs environmental testing activities that measure the concentration of pollutants or hazardous agents in the workplace and ensure compliance with relevant regulations and standards, as needed
Contributes to the development of education and training programs for workers and management regarding potential hazards, safe work practices, and the proper use of protective equipment
Collaborates with team members above this position to advise on less complex workplace incidents or complaints related to health hazards by investigating root causes and recommending corrective actions to prevent recurrence
Collaborate with team members above and below this position in various tasks
Travels to local and regional client sites as needed
Communicate effectively with with Atlas team members, clients and contractors.
Follow Atlas directives and standards.
Practice and maintain a safe working environment.
Perform other related duties as needed
Technical Requirements:
Strong technical writing skills
Microsoft Software and Applications
Background in Industrial Hygiene and/or Building Sciences related practices.
Knowledge with various Industrial Hygiene and/or Building Sciences related sampling equipment and protocols.
Knowledge of federal, state, and local regulations applicable to mold, asbestos, lead, radon, indoor air quality and/or industrial hygiene services required.
Other Miscellaneous Qualities:
Local/regional field work up to 25%
Ability to respond to emergency client requests during night and weekend hours as needed (expected to be up to 25%)
Effective communication skills
40 hr HAZWOPER preferred
A state-issued (MA, ME, NH, and/or RI) professional license in at least one of the following: asbestos, lead, mold
