CAPTURE 3D, a ZEISS company, has an immediate opportunity for a Measurement & Inspection Application Engineer within our Customer Launch Success Team based in our Wixom, MI office. The Launch Success Application Engineer comes alongside our customers utilizing their ATOS 3D Scanning and Inspection knowledge to ensure a quick and successful ramp up, knowledge transfer to customer and successful program launches. This is a hybrid work position based on onsite engagements, project support and inhouse tasks. Position does require extended stays at customer throughout the US and, at times, Canada and possibly Mexico.

Learn and become proficient in the use of the ATOS 3D scanner and TRITOP Digital Photogrammetry manual and automated measurement solutions Utilize CAPTURE 3D's solutions to support customers automated scanning and inspection for their parts and assemblies Create inspection templates Utilize Virtual Measuring Room (VMR) to program robotic automated scanning and inspection routines Provide customers and internal departments confidence through accurate and timely deliverables Onsite support at customer installations that typically consist of 1 to 2 week engagements
Qualifications and Skills: High school diploma and ideally 3+ years of metrology or related experience preferred Technical related experience (inspection, quality, CAD/CAM or related type solutions) is a plus Knowledge / experience in blueprint reading and GD&T Understanding of manufacturing, product development and quality control is a plus Good written and verbal communication skills Experience working independently under pressure with deadlines Willing to work at customer locations for a project's duration Ability to work with ITAR designated data Posse a valid driver's license Travel ranging from 40-60%
