Amergis Special Education Teacher - Elementary School in Wisconsin Dells, Wisconsin

1.0 FTE special education position available at Elementary School Our special education team consists of four teachers and six special education paraprofessionals. This position will have mixed grade levels on its caseload and will involve working with students in special education classes as well as providing support in regular education classes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

+ + Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs) for students with special needs.

  • Collaborate with general education teachers to modify curriculum and accommodate students' needs.

  • Provide direct instruction in small group or one-on-one settings.

  • Monitor and document students' progress, adjusting strategies as needed.

  • Participate in IEP meetings, parent-teacher conferences, and staff meetings.

  • Ensure compliance with state and federal special education regulations.

  • Support and supervise special education paraprofessionals.

Minimum Requirements:

+ + Valid Wisconsin teaching license in special education.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Special Education or a related field.

  • Knowledge of special education laws and best practices.

  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.

  • Experience in developing and implementing IEPs.

  • Ability to work with students of varying abilities and grade levels.
