Little Star School in the Methow Valley, Washington is looking for preschool teachers for the 2024-25 school year!

We are hiring:

Early Childhood Education Co-Lead Teacher (Ages 3-5): 32-40 hours/4-5 days per week, year round. 

As a Lead Early Childhood Teacher, you will work with a co-lead to supervise up to 16 students. Lead teachers plans and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum throughout the year at our Montessori-inspired school, and oversee the daily flow of the classroom, including set up, student care and engagement, end of day clean up, parent/guardian interactions, and teaching team collaboration.

*Early Childhood Assistant Teacher (Ages 18mo-3 years): *Fridays 8:15-3:45

Assistant teachers help plan and implement age-appropriate Montessori-inspired curriculum throughout the year. Two teachers work in tandem to guide up to 16 students (EC) or 11 students (Toddler) throughout their day, including classroom time, lessons, snack, rest time and outdoor play.

Ideally applicants will have 2+ years of experience with the relevant age group in any setting and at least two childcare related references. We recognize the many ways that individuals can work with children and as teachers including through outdoor education, camps, daycare, preschools, nannying, paraeducator work and more. For Lead Teacher positions, applicants will ideally hold an Early Childhood certificate/degree or Montessori certificate/degree. Little Star offers a variety of professional development and training opportunities for new staff as well as during the school year.
