Position Description

• Set up and operate HVLP spray paint systems to apply prime coat and topcoat paints.
• Thoroughly understand surface preparation, finishes and coatings in application on finished product.
• Obtain pertinent information from job specification sheet regarding painting requirements.
• Record time and production on proper forms and/or in computer systems.
• Perform and record quality control wet and dry film measurements.
• Work with solvents, cleaners, paints, and coatings
• Handle material movements as needed by hand, crane, forklift, or other material handling equipment.
• Perform cleaning practices in painting areas; maintain operating supplies for painting and perform routine maintenance of all tools and equipment required by this position.
• Assist in prepping, sanding, and reworking paint
• Adhere to all safety standards

Position Requirements

• Wear respirator, body suit, and rubber gloves
• Requires agility and ability to move up and down, over large structure.
• Required to stand and walk for long periods; reach with hands and arms, climb stairs, and ladders. Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl
• Have an eye for detail and understanding of the paint application
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
