Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health Florida provides programs and services for individuals with significant intellectual/developmental disabilities and/or emotional or behavioral challenges. Located in East Orlando, FL, this position is responsible for leading and directing the work of other Direct Support professionals that care for adults with Autism, IDD, Mental Health, or are dually-diagnosed, in a group home setting. This position is responsible for:
Assisting individuals served in achieving maximum level of independence.
Providing direction and supervision of individuals served while assisting them with and teaching them activities of daily living skills.
Promoting self-sufficiency, and assists individuals in capitalizing on their strengths.
Implementing individualized treatment plans, safety plans and documents individuals’ progress in accordance with established procedures.
Assisting in creating a safe, home-like living and treatment environment for individuals served.
Position Details:
Salary: Starts at $18.25 / hour PLUS additional compensation: Shift differential (up to $2.00 / hour). Relevant experience in field (up to $2.00 / hour). Credit for higher education ($.48/hr for Bachelors degree; $.72 / hr for Masters degree).
Shifts: Currently hiring for 2nd (2:00pm to 11:00pm) and 3rd shift (10:00pm - 9:00am). Weekends required for full-time opportunities.

Qualifications
Education:
High school diploma or equivalent required
Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Sociology, Human Services, Social Work preferred
Experience:
One (1) year of experience working with persons with intellectual or developmental disabilities, or 1 year experience in a medical, psychiatric, nursing or related setting required
Post-Secondary education (i.e., college, vocational or technical training equal to 30 semester hours) may substitute for experience
Schedule:
Must be able to complete a 2-week (Monday - Friday) new hire orientation class; hours are approximately 9:00am to 5:00pm each day. Orientations are offered in Orlando, FL and Titusville, FL.
Must be able to work holidays.
Other Requirements:
Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Test, Physical, and TB Test.
Valid driver's license
Occasional driving of Devereux vehicles for business purposes. Must be able to drive a car and a passenger van (which holds up to 15 passengers).
