Job Description Financial Reporting and Regulatory Compliance Manager 212 W 2nd St, Winona, MN 55987 HEADD Full-time Shift(s): MON TUE WED THU FRI 7:00am - 6:00pm OVERVIEW: Working as Full-time Financial Reporting and Regulatory Compliance Manager, you will lead a fast paced team, focusing on a variety of financial reporting, regulatory compliance and analytical processes and procedures. RESPONSIBILITIES: The duties and responsibilities of this position include, but are not limited to: o Directing and supervising the daily activities of the Financial Reporting and Regulatory Compliance Team o Overseeing the timely and accurate preparation and review of quarterly reports, including XBRL (10-Q), annual reports (10-K) proxy statements (DEF 14A), current reports (8-K) and company news releases o Managing quarterly reporting timeline, corporate governance disclosures and updates to the investor relations pages of our website, including coordination with internal team members, board members, SEC counsel, external auditors and other service providers o Ensuring compliance with all SEC, US GAAP and disclosure requirements o Researching and documenting technical accounting policies, including any new applicable accounting standards o Assisting with quarterly and annual accounting period close activities, including preparation and analysis of financial and operational data o Compiling, reviewing and distributing documents to Audit Committee members, external auditors and SEC counsel o Responding to inquiries from internal stakeholders, shareholders and external auditors o Analyzing accounting processes to identify and implement enhancements to drive efficiencies related to systems and procedures o Leading and completing special projects and other administrative tasks as assigned REQUIRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: The following skills and qualifications are required for this position: o Possess a degree in accounting, finance, or a related degree o Possess at least 5 years of accounting work experience o Excellent written and oral communication skills o Proficient using Microsoft Office Suite, with an emphasis on Excel o Highly motivated and self-directed with the ability to motivate others o Exhibit strong problem solving, deductive reasoning and decision-making skills o Demonstrate strong organization, planning, and prioritizing abilities o Demonstrate strong math aptitude, attention to detail and sense of urgency o Learn and perform multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment o Demonstrate our core values of ambition, innovation, integrity and teamwork o Pass the required drug screen (applicable in the U.S., Puerto Rico, and Guam ONLY) PREFERRED POSITION QUALIFICATIONS: o Prior work experience in financial reporting and XBRL o Experience using PeopleSoft, Blackline, OneStream, and Workiva Wdesk systems ABOUT US: Since 1967 Fastenal has grown as a distributor of industrial and construction supplies from a single branch to a Fortune 500 company with over 3,000 servicing locations, each providing tailored local inventory and personal service for our customers.
