Job Title: Survey CAD Technician
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Survey CAD Technician boundary determination, topography processing, construction stakeout computations, and plat preparations. The ideal candidate will possess excellent oral, written, and graphic communication skills, as well as the ability to lead and complete specific tasks independently while also working collaboratively with professional teams.
Responsibilities
Conduct boundary determination, topography processing, and construction stakeout computations.
Prepare plats and legal descriptions.
Lead and complete specific tasks independently.
Collaborate with teams of professionals, including surveyors, planners, and engineers.
Utilize software such as AutoCAD, Trimble Business Center, Microstation, Trimble General Survey, and Microsoft Office.
Perform final survey mapping and subdivision creation and computations.
Prepare survey calculations, site construction stakeout calculations, record plans, easement plats, exhibits, and deed plotting.
Essential Skills
Proficiency in AutoCAD.
Experience with Trimble Business Center, Microstation, and Microsoft Office (Word and Excel).
At least 2-3 years of experience in surveying, either as a CAD Technician or a Crew Chief.
2 years of experience with topographic surveys.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with Carlson Software is a plus.
Familiarity with residential subdivision layout and plot plans is desired.
Experience with survey field work is a plus.
Work Environment
The position involves working with an internal team of surveyors, planners, and engineers. The office environment includes a small team of six individuals. The company offers a flexible daily schedule, with some employees working four 10-hour days. The company is involved in major projects, including work with the state highway administration, and provides opportunities to work with advanced technologies such as drones.
