Actalent Land Surveyor in WINDSOR MILL, Maryland
Description:
AB won a big highway design project recently and need entry level surveyors to come in and help with the work load. - looking for a hard worker is not afraid to work, comes to work on time and willing to be out side in all different weather conditions. -AB runs 2-3 crews at a time - This person will report to and work with the Chief of Surveys. this role will start out as an instrument man and will have the ability to grow into a rod man. There are many opportunities here to grow your career. - During inclement weather, you will still get paid for 40 hours a week. You will be in the office these days helping out, learning Cad, etc. -Assist party chief in carrying the survey equipment and supplies to job site. Clear the vegetations obstructing the line of sight. Assist party chief in the collection of survey data. -Reporting to the Party Chief / Field Coordinator, this position is responsible for assisting the Party Chief in carrying out the survey tasks safely, effectively and in accordance with the contract documents and meet AB’s Policy Manual. Experience is not required, but willingness to learn and follow the direction of Party Chief with strong focus on quality of data collected. Ability in performing basic mathematical calculations is preferred. Software: Totalstation, microstation (would be nice), AutoCAD
