Windham Mountain Resort LIFT MAINTENANCE in Windham, New York
Overview of Position: The Lift Maintenance team at Windham Mountain Club is responsible for the maintenance, safe operation, and inspection of the lift system as well as the safety of passengers, both guests and team members.
Job Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age.
Must be able to stand, stoop, squat, and lift up to 50 lbs regularly for an entire work shift.
Must have mechanical and/or electrical aptitude, skills and experience.
Must be comfortable working from heights.
Level 1 Lift Maintenance Job Requirements ($25-$30/hr):
Able to rebuild grips under supervision
Able to perform basic line work
Able to assist in sheave train rebuilds
Able to perform basic start up and maintenance checks
Basic understanding of lift electrical systems
Basic understanding of lift brake systems
Assists in all other lift maintenance tasks under supervision
Able to safely operate lull, hydraulic presses, and other specialized equipment as needed
Beginning familiarization with ANSI standard
Basic understanding of hydraulic tensioning systems
Assists in rigging setup and usage
Developing understanding of schematics
Level 2 Lift Maintenance Mechanic Job Requirements ($31-$38/hr):
Able to independently perform all Level 1 tasks
Able to research technical manuals to clarify and expand maintenance and repair knowledge
Able to lead a Level 1 maintenance team in all required tasks
Has a solid understanding of ANSI requirements
Has a solid understanding of manufacturer’s maintenance requirements
Able to train trainees on entry level maintenance tasks
Able to supply required documentation and records of work performed
Has advanced knowledge of hydraulic, structural, and mechanical systems
Has a solid knowledge of rigging practices
Has a solid level of electrical controls systems knowledge
Can read system schematics
Interfaces with manager on lift status and needs
Level 2 Lift Maintenance Electrician Job Requirements ($35-$38/hr):
Must have electrician or electrical controls experience
Must be able to read lift schematics
Must be able to perform all electrical maintenance tasks
Must be able to troubleshoot and repair system electrical failures
Responsible for training level 2 mechanics on electrical systems
Must be able to maintain documentation and records of maintenance and repairs
Responsible for all controls, motors, 480 VAC, 220 VAC, 120 VAC, 24v, Dc, 12v Dc systems
Oversees battery management program
Interfaces with manager on lift status and needs
Work Schedule and Conditions: We are in the business of providing premier guest experiences. Traditionally our busy periods are during weekends and holidays which you will be expected to work. You can also expect to be asked to work extra hours or days on occasion, especially during the holiday periods or in the event of a lift breakdown.
